Another fun Stay at the Hospital (Ha! Ha!)
Well it's another fun stay at the hospital (ha! ha!). Rylie has been sick starting a week ago Friday with fever and some respiratory symptoms. We first thought it was the swine flu because she was exposed while at MDA camp (I will get camp pictures up as soon as we get home). So we treated her as if she did. The fever persisted longer then the swine flu usually does so we did some further investigating. She then started with back pain which made us think "Oh no, back infection". She had back surgery about 3 plus weeks ago so we thought we were in the clear for that, but with a fever for 6 days of 102 to 103 you had to wonder. We ended up doing a MRI of her back Thursday and sure enough there was infection. So we packed up our things and headed for SLC (Primary Childrens).
She spent the night in the ICU. Friday afternoon she had to get a pic-line (?sp) placed because of the strong meds she was getting. The meds kill your veins. You end up replacing IVs everyday and with her history, veins are a hard to come by anyway. But she was doing so well we got to move to the floor (out of ICU). Yea!!!!
It didn't take her long to bounce back to herself.....What a trooper!!!! I will try to keep you posted on when she gets home. We are hoping for Monday or Tuesday. Today her labs are heading in the right direction and she was able to go on a walk around the hospital with her dad. They were even able to have lunch together!

Having a Good Time for a Great Cause
My sister (Jamie) and I had the wonderful opportunity of participating in the "Little Red Riding Hood" bike ride for cancer last weekend. It was so much fun! It's a "women only" ride that consists of 2600 women all riding anywhere from 15-100 miles. It was awesome to see all the support from the dads and kids out cheering for there moms, grandmas, sisters etc., ours included.....(Thanks Erik, my sweet kids, Ryan and kids, mom, and dad) What a great experience to see women of all ages out riding for a great cause. I saw cute elderly women out riding there townee bikes, a woman from back east with her cruiser bike, a tandem team with one of the members being blind, and a whole bunch of other women out for a good time, us included.
Starting line.....here we go.

Field Trip Fun
Fourth grade field trip.....WOW....What a day! I had the opportunity of spending the day with Bryson in SLC during his fourth grade field trip. I wasn't sure what to expect other then probably a screaming headache when I got home...but to my surprise we had a great time and I stayed completely sain!!! I loved spending the whole day with Bryson and meeting all of his wonderful friends. What a great bunch of kids! Bryson had asked me to go earlier in the month and I jumped at the offer. Some of you might find that strange, but I know there's going to come a day when mom's not cool anymore and friends are the only people important. Taking opportunities like this to bond with your kids is the best thing in the world and I'll jump at the chance anytime I can. I was just glad he wanted me there!

State Capital.....What an amazing building. We got to see Governor Huntsman's office along with many other neat rooms while we were there.
Museum of Natural History.
Walking on Mars!!!
Bryson and Taylee have been special friends for many years. They have had every class together except first grade. I love to sit back and watch them. Taylee really watches over him and knows how to help him when he asks.

The whole wild Bunch!!!
