Surgery Update

Bryson was released yesterday afternoon around 5:00 and stayed in a motel with Erik and I last night. We ended up leaving a little later then we thought because as I was getting him dressed we noticed a baseball size lump on his back right where his incision was. We had to wait for his doctor to come check it out. Turns out they think he got a large hematoma and that it should go down with time. He had a rough night though. I was up with him about every half hour repositioning or giving him more meds. We were having a hard time keeping his pain under control. He seems to be doing a little better today. He's spending time with Erik down at the motel while we're waiting for the ok for Rylie to go home.

Rylie had a good night and doing pretty good today. She's just having a hard time urinating on her own. Sometimes that can be common for kids with neuromuscular diseases from being under or from being on morphine. She's required some oxygen, a lot of suction, and help with coughing too, but that's expected after being intubated. She did finally urinate on her own around mid morning but is sleeping right now so it shouldn't be long before we can take her home. Yeah!!!!!
